Last Minute Adventures Club
My own venture. New Zealand’s first last minute adventure marketplace. Every day at 5pm, unfilled adventure spots drop at 30 to 70% off. Members get first access. Gone by tonight.
The brief
This one is mine. An empty jetski tomorrow earns an operator nothing. A skydive rig with one unfilled seat is sunk cost. The idea: get operators to release tomorrow’s empty capacity every day at 5pm at heavy discounts, gate the pricing behind a cheap membership and let scarcity do the marketing. Tomorrow’s adventure. Tonight’s price.
This was zero to one: name, mechanics, pricing, operator pitch and platform, built as one piece.
The build
The whole site is engineered around one moment, the 5pm drop. A live countdown runs to it. Adventure cards show the full price, the drop price and the saving, with member gating on everything but a single taster. Alerts go out by SMS, email and push the second the drop goes live, and bookings close by 10pm.
The operator side is its own funnel: turn empty slots into cashflow, zero ongoing fees, pay only when you earn, without touching advance bookings or rate integrity. Two membership tiers run through Stripe, with the annual tier carrying founding member status and a five minute alert head start.
The details
Urgency is the design system: the countdown, spots left counters, closes at 9pm stamps and the savings math on every card. Six adventure worlds across thirteen regions give the catalogue a geography. The copy never begs. It states the price and starts the clock.
The venture
Last Minute Adventures Club is my own business, built the way I build for clients: zero to one, design and logic as one piece. The platform is live and I am currently open to offers of investment. If the model interests you, I would genuinely like to talk.
